New Site coming soon - KevsArt.com is changing

BLOG | KEVSART.COM IS CHANGING

by Kevin Preston | 22nd October 2016

I’ve been keeping my Newsletter subscribers updated over the past couple months, but I realised I hadn’t actually explained what’s going on via the website. Doh! Naughty Kevin!

I’m in the process of creating a new site. It’s something I always knew was going to happen, but I decided it time to make it a reality now. It’s a scary thing really, as I will be renaming KevsArt.com to SophieLawson.com, and in the process become Sophie online, to help with my transition from Kevin to Sophie :) The site will be based around the current content, but i’m structuring it much better, making it more focused and consolidating / rearranging posts. There will be three main colour coded sections:

Art – Pink
Transitioning – Lilac
Inspirational – Blue

You can see an example of the colours in the image below, which shows the current mobile design.

A sneak peak at the new site

The Inspirational section is a renaming of the current Favourites section, but I’ve also taken this opportunity to get the section closer to my original vision. Transitioning will cover my Transition and the Art section will be a much more focused art section. Each of the three main sections is very much it’s own entity, each having its own menu. It’s still in the early stages, and things keep changing, but it already feels must more structured and focused. The hardest thing right now, is trying to sort out all of the blog posts. I’m getting there, but I still haven’t managed to finalise them yet.

Hopefully it will all be ready next month (November), but we shell see. I am looking for testers to try the site out and help with feedback, so if you would like to test it out, please send me a message and I’ll give you all the details you need.
